Our Club has organized five (5) Clubs:

We are proud of the Hickory Grove Lions with 47 years of distinguished service and two (2) PDGs and the SouthPark Lions with 31 years of distinguished service and three (3) PDGs.

Charlotte Eastern Lions Club has served over 54 years. We co-hosted two (2) State Conventions. PDG Rudy Topping co-chaired the Committee to Elect Bill Woolard International President.

The Jim Bell Library for the Blind at Metrolina Association for the Blind is named in honor of the late Jim Bell, a member of our Club.

PDG Harold Reid (deceased) contributed the materials & labor to wire a cottage at Camp Dogwood. Reid, along with PDG Milton Panetti (deceased) of the Charlotte Southern Lions and PIP Bill Woolard (deceased) of the Charlotte Central Lions, spearheaded the effort to re-establish the Workshop for the Blind, which is now Lions Services, Inc. Lions Bud Fitzsimmons, Jim Fulton, Kathy Reid and Ken Smith have represented our Club on the LSI Board of Directors over the past decade.

We award a Scholarship annually for a graduating Senior at East Mecklenburg High School in memory of the late Lion D.K. Pittman, a long-time Principal at East Meck and instructor for District 31-C Secretary training for many years.

We currently have 23 Members: 16 Active + 4 Life + 3 At-Large.
